In the past month, two of our Paseo Village residents were attacked by Pit Bulls dogs in two separate incidents. One of the Board's primary duties is the "health, safety or welfare of the owners and residents", as such, we have passed, by resolution, a Pet Policy here in Paseo Village.
Going forward, any dog that bites another dog or person unprovoked will be reported to Dona Ana County Animal Control immediately. The Board using our authority, will report the incident to both the other Board members and Dona Ana County Animal Control. If the victim declines to file a charge or enforcement action the Board will still file the complaint.
